About

JWD Art Space is pleased to present Modern Eden, an exhibition by Anmom and Phai Tanasan. The artists reimagine the boundaries of traditional gender roles in contemporary society through a vivid exploration of masculinity and femininity. This duo exhibition presents two worlds in conversation—one where men embrace softness, vulnerability, and the freedom to love in all its forms, and another where women stand resilient, independent, and empowered.

Anmom’s work delves into the evolving narrative of men, portraying them as tender beings unafraid to express emotions, exploring love beyond conventions. His paintings evoke a sense of freedom where men are allowed to be soft, affectionate, and unapologetically true to themselves.

Phai Tanasan’s bold portrayals of women highlight strength, independence, and the modern woman’s unshakable self-reliance. Her figures stand as pillars of empowerment, challenging traditional expectations and asserting their place in the world as forces of their own destiny.

Together, Modern Eden is a visual dialogue that breaks down stereotypes and celebrates the evolving landscapes of gender identity, love, and strength. It is a space where softness and power coexist, reimagining the Garden of Eden for the modern era. The exhibition will be showing from 11 January – 16 February 2025 at Private Viewing Room, 3rd Floor.
